I am a registered member of the BACP, and abide by their ethical framework. I receive regular clinical supervision and attend continuous personal development training. I am also fully insured and have been DBS checked.
My diploma training is Humanistic Integrative, it means I utilize different Humanistic theories to help my clients.
The Humanistic approach focuses on the whole individual; it encourages you to think about your feelings and take responsibility for your thoughts and actions. The focus of the Humanistic approach is on self-development and achieving your full potential rather than on getting stuck in a difficult place. I use Gestalt therapy, Person-Centered therapy, Transactional Analysis, Egan Skilled Helper as well as Solution Focused therapy to help my clients.
I am passionate about the harmony of our mind and body, the balance between them and how one part affects the other.
I undertake continuous professional development courses to keep myself up to date with the latest therapeutic skills, models and research. This gives me the opportunity to offer you up-to-date support, whether its theoretical or practical.
